Newly
Appointed Wing Commander for 3 Welsh_______________________ |
 |
|
A new Wing Commander was appointed in 2011 to
replace the retiring Wg Cdr Bob Wilson. The new
OC 3WW is Wg Cdr Mike Stones, who was promoted
from his duties as a Wing Staff Officer and who
had previously been a hugely successful Squadron
Commander.

His tenure as OC 499 (Port Talbot) Squadron was
exemplary, with successes in all aspects of the
Corps syllabus, including providing the winning
team (twice) in the British Schools Aeronautical
Challenge, when 499 Squadron became the first
ATC team to win and the only one to win
twice......
