2117 (Kenfig Hill) Squadron BAMC Visit - August 2011

British Airways Maintenance Visit for Kenfig Hill Squadron ______________________________
Flying Officer Lewis took a party of staff and cadets on a visit to BAMC.  The visit was arranged by Sergeant Kevin Gould ATC as part of a training visit to see the work carried out at the site.  It also gave cadets an insight as to what would be needed to achieve an apprenticeship in the aerospace industry.
They were given a tour of the facility and an opportunity to see at close hand work being carried out on a Boeing 777 aircraft undergoing a deep service, which gave them an opportunity to look at the flight deck as well as the rest of the aircraft.
During the visit a presentation was made on behalf of the Squadron of a Squadron Plague to Richard Grant from the BA Training Department by Cadet Flight Sergeant Nico Fitzgibbon and Cadet Sergeant Nathan Cooper for the continuing interest and support from BAMC.
If you are male or female and at least 13 years old then why not join 2117 (Kenfig Hill) Squadron ATC. We are also looking for adult staff members and Civilian Committee members.  We parade on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7pm to 9.30pm. For more information please contact the Squadron on parade nights, Tel No 01656 670125.
