No. 561 (Ardwyn,
Aberystwyth and District) Squadron welcomed a past cadet back to the
Squadron.
First Officer Mark Leigh, an ex Cadet
Warrant Officer with No. 561 Squadron, is
the youngest pilot at 21 years old flying
with BMI out of Birmingham International,
East Midlands and Edinburgh airports. |

Mark completed his Gliding Scholarship at 16
years old, flying solo at No. 636 VGS,
Swansea, and at 17 years his Pilot
Scholarship at Dundee. He went on to
achieve his Commercial Pilots
licence
before he left the Squadron at 20 years old
and then last January joined BMI. |
