Number 3 Welsh Wing & The Wales National Air

Once again the City and County of Swansea hosted
the Wales National Air Show 2011, and Number 3
Welsh Wing maintained a superb presence
throughout in support of this event . Now
established as a leading, free biennial event in
the City, it has become a very popular
attraction for the general public in South West
Wales. |

A 'special thank you' has to be to given to
Sqn Ldr Jeremiah, who not only co-ordinated
the event on behalf of Number 3 Welsh
Wing, but was 'hands-on' for four days, in
preparation, during and closing down the event. |

We were delighted to welcome Wing Commander
Stones in his new capacity and first official
engagement as OC 3 Welsh Wing, and in his his
feedback and comments stated;
"There
was a relaxed and positive feel throughout the
whole ACO display area which generated a
wonderful and welcoming atmosphere and
accordingly I was delighted to hear that we may
have potentially recruited a substantial amount
of new cadets for those units local to the
Swansea area". |

It was also good to see Wing Commander Wilson
(Ret'd) in attendance along with his good friend
and ally Flt Lt Andrew Maund (Ret'd) Wing
Chairman, and Sqn Ldr Kirczey (Ret'd). |
