Emergency Medical Technicians Course - November 2010

Cadets from 215 (City of Swansea) Squadron Help Medical Technicians____________________
Cadets and staff from 215 (City of Swansea) Squadron helped trained medical specialists when they volunteered to become 'bloody' casualties, finding themselves with broken bones, severe wound to the face and even a full arm amputation.
Justin Honey-Jones, CEO of Crown Training Academy (the company who run this very specialised medical training course), was extremely grateful to the brilliant acting skills of CI Sam Davies (broken leg), Cpl Laura Nedin (face wound) and IFSgt Bryn Peace (everything), as the realism they added put the trainees under pressure and he hoped that they would support them in future.
Wg Cdr Wilson witnessed the massacre and the subsequent medical skills that the medical technicians used as they battled away to save the volunteer casualties. He said that they were all brilliant actors but IFSgt Peace frightened the living daylights out of him as he screamed and rolled around in horrific pain with an amputation and stomach wound. So realistic were the mock injuries to the causalities that very few of the photographs taken could be used.
All three have contributed greatly to raising the skills of the course members, who had travelled from many of the world's hostile locations to train with Crown.
Photograph above shows CI Sam Davies being treated for her injuries.
