| It has been announced that The Ganderton
Sword has been awarded to Plt Off Alyn Lewis
2227 (Mid-Gwendraeth) Squadron. |
| This Sword is awarded every year to the best
Officer Cadet candidate to attend RAF Cranwell
for their Initial Officers Course. |
| Alyn was chosen from 251 graduates
throughout the country for this award, and as a
Wing we would like to offer our hearty
congratulations to both him and his Squadron for
another superb achievement. |
| Number 3 Welsh Wing have a lot to be proud
of, in winning both the
Dacre Sword and
Ganderton Sword in the same year, and has also
been the 4th consecutive year that Wales and
West have won this award, from four different
Wings. |
| The Award ceremony will take place at RAF
Cranwell during the coming weeks. |
