International Air Cadet Exchange - Presentation Evening 25th June 2010
 

3 Welsh Wing Receive Gracious IACE Funding_____

OC 3 Welsh Wing, Wing Commander Bob Wilson is seen receiving a £500 donation towards the Wings International Air Cadet Exchange fund from Flt Lt Lindsey Morgan RAF VR(T) Ret’d who was previously a Commanding Officer of  2347 (Porthcawl) Squadron in the late 1970’s and who now assists on their civilian committee.

The evening was attended by many officers and cadets belonging to local Air Cadet Units and was hosted by the Wing Chairman Flt Lt Andrew Maund RAF VR(T) Ret’d. During the course of the evening, IACE cadets passed and present gave short presentations on their IACE experiences, namely CWO Emily Fletcher-Miles of 2227 Sqn who spoke of her visit in 2009 to Ghana, and likewise CWO Gareth Havard of 499 Sqn who outlined the application process and his experiences as a cadet including D of E Gold, Flying Scholarships and the Schools Aerospace Challenge.

   

The evening was kindly hosted at, and supported by the staff of Porthcawl RAFA club and for this gracious hospitality, the staff and cadets of 3 Welsh Wing are extremely grateful.
