Overview by: Wing Commander Wilson___________
"Wing Commander Bob Wilson was delighted to promote an ex cadet of his to the post of 3 Welsh Wing Media Communications Officer.
Plt Off Morgan once served as a CWO at 499 (Port Talbot) Squadron when the Wing Commander was first commissioned (1980) and is now the Squadron adjutant, where he runs the highly credited Squadron web site.
OC 3WW went on to say that Paul's dedication and motivation would be a great asset to 3 Welsh Wing and the Corps.
Plt Off Morgan has recently built the new 3WW web site, which was launched by the Commandant Air Cadets in April and the roles of webmaster and MCO will work well together
Plt off Morgan will take up his new role from the 1st June 2010"
Media Communications Officer____________________________________________________________
With the launch of this new website by Air Commodore Ian Stewart in May 2010, it now serves as a very important additional communication tool, in providing members of the Number 3 Welsh Wing and the wider general public about information and opportunities.
The website has been designed with the 'user' in mind to have a better understanding of 'what we do' and 'what we're about', and via this medium, an up to date facility for forthcoming events and news features. Subscribing to the RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed on the home page, will provide an instant messaging service to your email account, and keep you up to date on recent events.
In addition it will help provide a a recruitment window for young people and adult volunteers, and help to maintain a public profile throughout South West Wales and beyond.
The support that has been received throughout the Wing since the launch of this website has been overwhelming, and as the webmaster and new 3WW MCO, would like to thank everyone for their contribution thus far.  However for us to maintain this progressive facility in conjunction with BADER, your continued support is indeed invaluable!
Whilst the internet provides us with one form of communication, there are a host of others that can be tapped into and used to positive effect.  Over the years, newspapers and magazines (including Air Cadet News) have been our main source of information and news, and they still have a place in maintaining and supporting our public profile, recruitment and fundraising.
During the coming months, it is hoped that we can work together to continue to raise the profile of Number 3 Welsh Wing, and maintain a significant presence in the Air Cadet Organisation as a whole!
