Penally Skills and Leadership Camp 1st - 8th May 2010

Camp Overview_________________________________________________________________________

We held a camp at Penally for 20 cadets during this period, from Squadrons throughout the West of Number 3 Welsh Wing.
The camp program included field training at the Templeton training area covering ACP 16 in which the cadets were able to learn and practice field skills, a days adventure training along the Pembrokeshire coast path, and shooting on the Penally range, combined in with this was a mix of general service training including leadership exercises and first aid skills.
The culmination of the camp was a vist by OC 3 Welsh Wing on the Saturday in which he took the salute at the final parade and presented Best Cadet, Best NCO awards etc and presented six cadets with Squadron Marksman badges.
Wg Cdr Wilson stated that he was impressed by the standard of the cadets who attended and their achievements.
The Camp Commandant Flt Lt Rosser and the staff presented each cadet with a camp T shirt emblazoned with the camp motto
"we did! did you?" and camp photograph.
A successful camp then and we are already planning the next one for later in the year which we hope more Squadrons will be able to attend.
