Sea King Flying Opportunity for 499 (Port Talbot) Squadron

Fg Off Christian Wilkins_______________________
A former cadet of 499 Squadron and now a qualified Search and Rescue Pilot with 22 Squadron based at RAF Chivenor, Flying Officer Christian Wilkins took time out of his very busy schedule to arrange this flying opportunity for the cadets of his former ATC Squadron.
It was also a very proud day for both his Mum and Dad (Anne and Terry) and former OC 499 Flt Lt Mike Stones, to see how this young man turned his dream of becoming an RAF Pilot into reality.
During one of our Summer Camps of 2010 at RAF St Mawgan, Flying Officer Wilkins also arranged a tour of 22 Squadron for the cadets of Number 3 Welsh Wing, and for a lucky few a flight in one of the Squadrons Sea King Helicopters.
Our sincere thanks go to Sqn Ldr Wes Wilson and his Crew for organising this event....
